Progressive Industries, Inc. was founded in 1985 by Valerie R. O'Donnell. For 23 years, Progressive Industries—a certified WBE/DBE/HUBZone—has been a leader in stocking and distribution of stock and custom products in the Midwest, serving a vast client base including The Federal Government, Cook County Hospital and the State of Illinois. Whatever the needs are, Progressive is an innovative company that leads the pack in sourcing the right product for their clients at the right price. Whether it is an existing product or a new custom manufactured item, Progressive’s resourceful and innovative team gets the job done.

“The inspiration for Progressive’s expertise evolved from a need that clients had to improve upon poor quality of existing sources”, recalls O’Donnell, the company’s co-founder and president. She is an expert in her field. “I kvetched about spending all my time fixing problems and solving problems created from previous vendors,” O’Donnell said. And when she’s not exerting leadership qualities in comprehensive business solutions, she is directing the sourcing new products that can improve pricing on contracts and also facilitate upgrading of day to day operations at client’s facilities.

The idea that there could be a better way to handle production distribution caught the attention of many prospective customers who thought it might be a good to look for a more reliable vendor who could service a wide variety of their needs and thereby reduce their vendor data base and improve their supply chain.

Today, Progressive can improve service to their vast client base, with their new larger warehouse facility that boasts a more modern approach to distribution and custom production for their client base!
